Process Engineer, Coated Veil

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The process engineer for the coated veil line will first participate in the engineering and installation of the coated veil production line; they will perform continuous improvement in the coated veil line.

This person is responsible for the analysis and development of processes and procedures that focus on the overall manufacturability and cost saving initiatives for products. The individual is the technical expert on production issues in their area as it relates to the total organization. The individual may interface with customers and suppliers, and supports these processes related to material, manufacturing and engineering activities to obtain cost, quality and cycle time objectives.

You will work closely with the manufacturing plant and stakeholders to perform and collaborate with other teams to establish the manufacturing production system. You will also participate in the installation and commissioning of the new production line. As the start-up phase is complete, you will transition to a technical position and will become the primary point of contact. You will also participate in establishing methods that optimize profitability while minimizing cost through activities such as analyzing equipment, reviewing product designs and translating Design Engineering data into applicable processes. You will collaborate closely with other teams to review and implement customer special requirements and assist in generating appropriate processes.

The Process Engineer, Coated Veil will Aid in the training of shop personnel where the operation of new equipment or new manufacturing procedures / processes is concerned. Additionally, initiate corrective-action projects and actively lead problem-solving teams driven by customer complaints, i.e., returned goods inspection and assessment.

You will provide technical support to the manufacturing teams, customer services departments, and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for solving product problems, identifying the issues, recommending solutions, and implementing corrective action.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field is required, BSME or BSEE is preferred. Minimum 2+ years of work-related skill and experience in a manufacturing organization, preferably in manufacturing engineering is preferred. The incumbent must possess strong project management, quantitative and analytical skills. This position requires an in-depth and expanding knowledge of the engineering disciplines of the assigned section and a broad knowledge of related disciplines, with exposure to a wide variety of practical engineering experiences and challenges. The position also requires skills in communication, persuasion and project management and excellent interpersonal skills and multitasking abilities.

The candidate must have a valid driver’s license for business travel up to 25% of the time and have the ability to travel domestically and internationally.
