Maintenance: Electric and Controls
Objectives:
(fundamental objectives for orientation of the holder of the position)
- Ensure the functions of the machine as well as the quality, output and safety of the machines in the entire production.
- Ensure the machine availability (continuous improvement)
- Optimization of the production, reduction of running costs
- Maintain quality standards and safety, in particular compliance with the safety procedures according to the design documentation, the NEC-specifications as well as other standards and instructions applicable to the work area
Duties:
(Important primary duties in logical order)
- Correct errors and perform necessary maintenance and repairs to production machines.
- Conduct maintenance and inspections on the production machines according to specifications as well as organize and supervise work performed by external companies (e.g. yearly inspections, calibration of press force systems etc.)
- Performance of routine work in the warehouse
- Electrical modifications and adjustments to machines and fixtures when production conditions change
- Implementation of CIP-measures
- Participation in new machines and machine modifications
- Control proper function of all inside/outside lighting and fixtures.
- Conduct measurements according to OSHA: NFPA 70 NEC, NFPA 70E ESR
- Supervise and train new employees
- Assist Mechanical personal when called upon.
- Documentation of all work in the corresponding software-applications (e.g. SAP, maintenance-drive N:, etc.)
Competencies:

- Access to all relevant programs (MS Office) and data in the work area
- Professional managerial authority towards the employees in the production area
Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the professional execution of assigned inspections and duties
Environmental conditions of the workplace:
- Ensure compliance with company safety and environmental regulations applicable to the workstation and workplace in the production area
- Willing to work shifts and overtime - willing to adapt to the constant changes in daily work time.
Required training:
- Completed vocational training as an electrician (m/f) specialized in operation and building technology
- Knowledge in PLC-controllers Siemens (preferred) or others (Basic)
Professional experience:
- Several years of experience as an electrician desired
- Knowledge in PLC-controls from Siemens (preferred) or others (Basic)
- experience with MS Office

- Safety awareness - recognizes hazardous work conditions and complies with general as well as company-specific safety requirements.
