We seek an exceptional and experienced CFO to join our team and help guide GovStrive to continued success. As the CFO, you will oversee all financial aspects of the organization, including financial planning, reporting, analysis, and compliance.

As the CFO, you will have the opportunity to innovate and optimize our internal financial services to help build high-impact, high-quality results for GovStrive.  The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Review the current financial planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
  • Work with Executive Leadership and other leaders to coordinate financial planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
  • Studies long-range economic trends and project their impact on future sales and market share growth.
  • Compare sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; make or oversee any necessary adjustments to future forecasts and budgets.
  • Work with other department leaders to monitor each department and make financial recommendations.

**Position Summary: **The CFO is a strategic leader and key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization. The CFO develops and implements long-term financial strategies to support the company's growth and success and oversees the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and statements. The CFO also manages the company's budgeting and forecasting processes and ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and budgeting, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The CFO is a critical role that requires a highly skilled and experienced professional who can provide insights and recommendations to inform decision-making at the highest levels of the organization.

**Duties | Responsibilities—**As a senior operational leader, this role is required to:

  • Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
  • Compare sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; make or oversee any necessary adjustments to future forecasts and budgets.
  • Review the planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
  • Work with Executive Leadership and other leaders to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
  • Study long-range economic trends and project their impact on future sales and market share growth.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion into new service offerings.
  • Execute the financial strategy of the company.
  • Manage financial controls and accounting procedures.
  • Ensure full transparency over the financial performance of the company.
  • Provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner.
  • Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained.
  • Support the CEO with the preparation of monthly and annual financial plans.

**Requirements—**Quality seeks quality, and our ideal candidate requires:

Education | Experience | Status

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
  • Eight to ten years of experience in financial management is required.
  • A documented capacity to provide oversight to virtual teams, and support Executive leaders
  • Leadership skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication, including a capacity to lead strategic discussions with internal and external leaders
  • Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external entities
  • Aptitude to think creatively and strategically

Technology Skills

  • Experience with Accounting Information Systems
