Military Flight Controls Division

Supporting aircraft worldwide, Parker Aerospace’s Military Flight Controls Division (MFCD) provides primary and secondary flight control systems that make flight possible. Tested, proven and trusted in commercial and military applications for decades, MFCD provides precise position-control actuation solutions for military aircraft across the United States and with foreign partners. Management of the day-to-day Manufacturing Engineering operation and quality at the plant level. Development and implementation of required plant projects, including Lean Enterprise initiatives. Implement the division's quality plan at the plant level to achieve the divisions overall quality objectives

-Refine and enhance processes by applying continuous improvement and key Lean manufacturing/ production principles and techniques to areas of production.

\n

-Recommend product changes/improvements to Product Engineers.

\n

-Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, and establishing standards to confirm and validate manufacturing process requirements.

\n

-Determine root cause of failure using statistical methods (e.g., design of experiment, SPC) that may result in changes in design, tolerances, or processing methods.

\n

-Support Production Control and production management requirements to achieve maximum customer service.

\n

-Research and prepare capital acquisition (AFE) for the plant requirements.

\n

-Management of functions to maintain facility, this includes building and grounds.

\n

-Communicates customer, regulatory and organizational requirements to assure product quality, contract compliance and customer satisfaction.

\n

-Oversees the effective documentation and implementation of the quality management system to assure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and the standards set by corporate/division policies.

\n

-Works with the leadership team to ensure that individuals performing functions affecting quality are trained and demonstrate the appropriate skills and performance results.

\n

-Coordinates necessary plant personnel for internal, customer and third-party quality system audits.

\n

-Maintains a corrective action system to analyze and correct nonconforming conditions and complaints.

\n

-Implements the performance measurements necessary to effectively evaluate organizational performance and trends in product quality, services, customer satisfaction and the cost of poor quality. Uses the results of performance evaluation to target improvement efforts.

\n

-Assess supplier capabilities and monitor supplier quality to ensure desired levels of performance

\n

\n

B.S. Degree in an Engineering or related discipline.

\n

-3-5 Years of Quality, Engineering or related experience.

\n

-Knowledge of International Standard ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems (QS-9000 as applicable for automotive sector).

\n

-Certification by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr) is preferred.

\n

-Knowledge of manufacturing and quality practices. -Experience with quality improvement tools and techniques (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis).

\n

-Demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation and problem-solving skills.

\n

-Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skill.

\n

\n
