Job Description

Parker Aerospace, Military Flight Controls Division is seeking a highly talented and motivated individual to participate in a summer intern program.

The candidate will assist manufacturing engineers in preparing product specifications/drawings (conceptualizing and designing cost effective solutions), product performance testing, preparing technical reports, documentation, and project coordination in support of the value stream leader.

Possible assignments include:

Engineering Test Lab

Assist engineers in the development and testing of products for mechanical applications. Work on testing methods and processes to gain a better understanding of machinery, fixtures, and measurement methods as well as assist with mechanical assembly and gain experience in troubleshooting techniques. Typical activities associated with this position may include CAD modeling, test machining commission/troubleshooting, engineering data analysis, validation of machine and test parameters, and customer/supplier interaction.

Manufacturing

Assignments may include a variety of mechanical related tasks including working with the manufacturing engineers on shop floor execution, cost saving initiatives, troubleshooting, quality improvements, manufacturing instructions, etc.

Typical tasks may include:

Data entry, computer analysis, researching potential vendors for new components or materials, application engineering, part change notice processing, customer print reviews/reviewing and understanding customer needs and expectations.

Must be pursuing degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering.
Must be entering their junior or senior year in Fall 2024.
