Engineering Rotational Program Associate - Emerging Talent (United States)
Opportunity summary:
As an Engineering Rotational Program Associate -Emerging Talent you are responsible for providing technical expertise and support for various departments of the organization.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
- The two-year program consists of a series of rotations designed to explore different engineering functions and aspects of the paper and packaging industry
- Rotations are selected based on business need and can be anywhere within the United States
- This role as a Process, Production, Reliability, Process Controls or Project engineer has multiple responsibilities including continually exploring opportunities to optimize production, improve quality, and reduce cost in our operations.
- The Engineering Rotational Associate may also support projects in Global Paper, Sustainability, Corporate Functions and/or special assignments
What you need to succeed:
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Pulp Paper, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related Engineering
Experience:
Required: Prior experience in Operations, Paper Manufacturing, or a related field
Technical Skills:
Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook
Working knowledge of maintenance techniques and equipment (i.e. pumps, valves, motors, gear boxes)
