Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
  • Confer with department manager or supervisor to determine status of daily schedules.
  • Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Prepare production planning reports.
  • Prepare daily schedules based on optimum capacity.
  • Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements
  • Draw up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Be vigilant about safety
  • Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence
