Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities

  • Operates a sit down side loader to bring empty pallets to work sites to designated areas
  • Operates a Combi Lift (vertical and horizontal) to off load materials from Post Aging Conveyor
  • Operates a standard industrial fork truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
  • Check material after aging for hardness with a Webster Hardness Tester and tag each with correct pallet report.
  • Supports the Press Crew Operation as needed including but not limited to:
  • Operate head/tail stretcher, cooling table, saw table, chip collector, loading machine, pallet conveyor, and aging oven. Adjust equipment when necessary to ensure proper operation.
  • Notify management of quality issues and possible causes and corrections. Discard defective/imperfect product.
  • Remove and weigh material scrap bin. Maintain supply of pallets and transfers full pallets by forklift.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED (minimum)
  • Preferred at least two years of experience in manufacturing
  • Required – forklift certification and at least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment operating mobile equipment.
  • Strong Computer Skills
  • Ability to recognize similarities and difference between profiles
  • Ability to add & subtract, multiply, divide.
  • Ability to carry out detail written or oral instructions
  • Be vigilant about safety
  • Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence
